Father Sun

Father Sun is reaching its greatest display this week. Yes, Summer is almost officially here.

Have you ever thought of the sun as being a masculine energy? I know we have had many discussions about the Feminine energy of the moon. The moon is linked to so many aspects of the Feminine but isn't it interesting that, unless you live in the far northern or far southern areas of earth, we have the sun almost every day but don't think too much about it. Even when hidden by clouds we know the sun is there because the darkness of night is vanquished.

Well, June 20 is the first day of Summer and since this month Ashtar is devoting his videos and Intentions to the Masculine, this is a great time to give Father Sun some attention. The power of the sun brings to life almost every living thing on our beautiful planet. At the same time, its power can destroy the same things. What a wonderful duality!

Without us doing anything except exposing ourself to its power, the sun stimulates our Serotonin. Without its power we experience depression and disease. No matter where we live we often travel great distances to bask in its warmth. We take for granted the gifts the sun provides, attributing them to climate, but there it is, day after day, gifting us with life. Perhaps that's why I get such a kick out of this week's title, "Father Sun". Much like our own fathers, without the gifts of the sun, we would not even exist.
