Gratitude

We often express our gratitude for the gifts we have received, for things and objects, but our gifts are often unseen. They are often unnoticed by us. We come into this world blessed with more gifts than we can ever imagine; gifts which will come into play at the perfect time.

Too often we only think of our gifts as tangible items; prosperity, our homes, friends, food, our vehicles. This is a limited way of viewing our gifts. Have you ever been faced with a task for which you felt unprepared yet you accomplished that task easily? Have you ever wondered how something was going to come together then discover it has already come together? These are examples of the gifts of the Universe, the contents of our Cornucopia. When I pray I often give thanks for all my gifts, seen and unseen. We as humans have a limited capacity to recognize just how much is provided us behind the scenes.

This is the week of Thanksgiving here in the U.S. A day wrapped in much folklore, but at its core is a reminder that we have so very much for which to be grateful. Gratitude, and our expressions of gratitude, multiply those gifts. To live in gratitude is to open the unlimited gifts of the Universe allowing them to flow through us. The more we express gratitude for the things we have (seen and unseen) the more we open ourselves to more gifts.

I think of gratitude as a way of acknowledging we are not driving this bus we call our lives. We are wonderful passengers on that bus. Beautiful passengers who are the recipients of the Grace of the Universe.

Enjoy this holiday season with open hearts, sharing the love and bounty set before us.

Many Blessings of Universal Love,

Terrie
