Light of the sun

As we approach both the first day of summer and Father's Day we are invited to recognize that both are powerful symbols of Masculine energy. The Light of the Sun is masculine. Once we step back and think about it this makes sense. One of the things we look for in a father figure is dependability, not flashiness. The sun rises each day, the father is always there. Is there any wonder that many Native Americans refer to it as "Father Sun"?
You will recall that when we honored Mothers last month we recognized that a Mother can be biologically connected, or adopted. So it is with Fathers; they can be biological or adopted. We can have more than one Father figure in our lives. These are the people who stand with us, they are our rocks, they are the Light of the Sun. They can be close companions, advisors, role models and something to push against. Thinking about it, the same applies to Mothers!
In that we all have both feminine and masculine energies within us, so too do our Father figures. A Father figure doesn't even have to be a male for that matter. It's all a matter of what roles others play in our lives. In the end. Gender is far less important than the guidance and support we receive from those who help us navigate our lives. Take time to honor the Light of the Sun however it shows up.
I want to give a grateful shout-out to my friends in Ashtar's teaching who visited this past week. Traveling halfway across the planet to drink in the Wisdom of Ashtar. It was a delight to share time with them.
This reminds me that Ashtar, who is commonly imaged as a masculine entity is truthfully both male and female, father and mother. He often refers to himself as speaking as a Grandfather yet he is channeled by a female. Maybe this realization gives us pause to reconsider gender overlay. Does it really matter if support and love come from a biological male or biological female? After all, love is love and the Light of the Sun is the Light of the Sun!
Many Blessings of Universal Love,
Terrie
