Live within the self

On December 21 Winter begins, the perfect time to live within the self. Ashtar reminds us during this weeks video and Intention that, just with all the other animals on our planet, we too have a tendency to hibernate. Obviously this does not mean we search for a cave to hold up in while the snow flies, it's more of an emotional hibernation.
This is the time of year where we are called to endure as well as we can the shorter days, colder temperatures and slowing of our bodily rhythms. To live within the self. It is a period of time when so many of our functions slow down. I know that's hard to believe when we are running around shopping, attending parties and events, but it's true. Are you noticing how difficult it can be to shed those pesky extra pounds? That's part of our hibernation. The good news is that next week our systems will undergo another transformation; the transformation into the light. The days get longer, the nights shorter. We begin to stir from our hibernation.
This is the time to begin thinking about what we would like to experience in 2026. We begin to look forward to a clean slate. To live within the self we open ourselves to being an even brighter light to the world. No wonder the concept of New Year Resolutions coincides with this period.
To live within the self means we go within, explore possibilities. With the advent of the new year we let ourselves think beyond the limitations we have placed upon ourselves. What a freeing experience this can be!
If you are feeling the winter blahs don't worry. Recast the blahs as a temporary hibernation; a hibernation that is more emotional than physical. The best thing is, this too shall pass and very soon.
To my friends who observe, this is the first day of Hanukkah too, another reason to celebrate!
Many Blessings of Universal Love,
Terrie
