Writing Intentions and Affirmations

Well, it's been a fantastic month with Ashtar as he helps us sharpen writing our intentions and affirmations. Of course you don't have to write these out, once the concept is fully part of our beings we can do them in our heads. However the concept remains the same: be clear in what you are seeking before beginning.

How many times have you approached an Intention then found something completely different than you imagined showing up at your door? I promise you, this has happened to me so many times I can't even count. It does us well to remember The Universe is always by our side, always delivering exactly what we ask for. That means that if we receive other than what we are seeking it is probably because we were not being clear in our request.

When this happens the first thing we need to do is review our request. Were we specific in what we wanted? Did we try to control the Universe as to what and when it is delivered? In short, did we go out of our lane? That's why it can be so very helpful to write down our requests, so we can review exactly where we started and adjust accordingly.

Begin with your wishes, dreams and desires. Make sure you place yourself in a position to receive your gifts. It does no good to wait for our ship to come in if we are hanging out at the bus station. We will probably not find the love we seek if we lock ourselves away in our homes and don't involve ourselves in life. Make sure you invest in your goals. If a better job is what you seek, do your preparations; accumulate the skills you will need. The Universe is perfect at coming through for us, but the Universe is not the Amazon truck. We cannot rest upon our laurels and expect to receive what we want.

Most of all, please don't take it upon yourself to drive the Universe. It knows how, where and when to bring about the manifestation of what we want. Need I add that gratitude is an essential part of the creative process?
