Look for the Positive

One of the basic tenents of Metaphysics is to look for the positive in all you do. This doesn't mean to ignore facts, simply to turn your attention to what you would like to experience.

Life presents us with so many things to be unhappy about, that's true. If we allow ourselves to dwell only upon what is not seeming to work we become trapped in a cycle of unhappiness. This is why, last week, Ashtar invited us to go back to a Gratitude Journal. We can still be aware of things we don't want in our lives but we maintain balance by reminding ourselves there is so much good around us.

Speaking from personal experience, last week Brian and I spent some time on Maui. Were there things which didn't necessarily fill us with joy? Of course! For instance our rental car broke down. We could have let that experience define our vacation. On the other hand, our replacement car was newer, more comfortable and taking time to change cars might have saved us from having to deal with a rain event along our planned route. We got to do the outing we had anticipated doing, just a couple of days later. You see, we were aware of the disruption in our plans but the outcome was even better. Look for the positive!

Our gratitude journals can keep us on track toward achieving the joy, happiness, harmony, peace and financial abundance we want in our lives. I tell you from experience, it really works.

As you go about your life keep your eyes on the prize. The other stuff is just distraction, or maybe a gift in disguise.

Many Blessings of Universal Love,

Terrie
